Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and motivation to improving upon South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services throughout an engagement along with the agency's senior managers in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric exams.

From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% on the registered pupils inside the education sector.

These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This means that the financial investment government is making from the lives of weak and vulnerable children is yielding a beneficial effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe said.
